The country of Belize is organized into six districts. Each district is unique in what it has to offer for people living in Belize and Belize tourist.

Each Belize District has popular locations on the map some being defined as city's, towns or villages. 

As you explore Belize, you will discover what each district has to offer as to activities and quality of life. As you view the Belize Map you will see each district is a different color to help you distinguish between each area of Belize.

The most popular tourist destinations in Belize are Ambergris Caye island which is located in the Belize District, Caye Caulker Island which is a short distance from Ambergris Caye Island, Corozal Town located in the Corozal District, Hopkins and Placencia Peninsula located in the Stann Creek District and the Cayo District where San Ignacio and Belmopan areas are popular destinations. Additionally, off the Belize mainland, you will find small islands and atolls to explore. On these islands and atolls you will find fishing villages and resorts which cater to fishing, snorkeling and diving activities.
